3..2..1.. off I go.

About two weeks before my joining date I was almost ready. This means I had all the necessary documents, list of what to take and a list what to do before I leave for 7 months. My sign of date is 20th September but who knows what happens. First time I was packing my life into a suitcase I thought it was for 9 months. Not bad this time. When I found my list “to pack”, divided into hand luggage and baggage, all the small things listed I had a laugh. I like it that I do those lists, maybe funny but convenient. Takes all the “did I take it” stress away. I packed all things I could to find out how much it weighs.

Test packing – check!

That weekend I didn’t do every show at TMG, I took Sunday off and visited my parents. And that is How my former cat welcomed me.

They still can’t believe I’m actually going to work for a cruise line on the other side of the ocean. That was suppose to be a tricky week for them, for us, but we managed to spend some quality time with each other over those quick two days I was there. I came back to Gdynia and arranged the leftovers of “to do. Some time with my friends and being sure I’m ready to get on board the plane to JFK were my priorities. Quick and busy week, I forgot you could do so much in such short time. This week, every day I was falling asleep like a baby and with a smile on my face. Surprisingly it was so sunny these days. Walk on the Orlowo Klif, sauna, late evening teas, breakfasts and dinners in the city and even a lazy tv evening – everything with friends!

I bought myself a tiny bit of internet www.kalafonia.com and did a set of two kinds of stickers with my logo. The best part is I did it in one day, something I was thinking of doing for at least three years. This is only one example.

Friday was supposed to be a day for myself and was not it at all. In the end it was a good day besides the 4h spent packing and repacking my belongings. Seriously, I thought it will be easier.

In the morning, late night, my so called “wife” with her boyfriend and our friend drove me to the airport. That night it was crazy snowing. I was crazy excited. I’ve never knew so little what will happen and was so happy about it, and a calm. We said our goodbyes and I’m on the plane to JFK Airport, had a connection flight GDN-FRA-JFK. After immigration, to the hotel, there a welcome letter and rest of the instructions.

Tomorrow at 7am transport is arranged to get me and other joining people on board the Anthem.

And now I’m sitting on the hotel lobby waiting for the bus to Anthem. Me and about 40 other people. Yesterday evening I just went to get a SIM card – walk around the neighborhood. Dirty and smelly. I will have time to see NYC when I will be signing of. I hope.

Now the bus has come so let’s go!

Here I go!
